My name is Tom Paynter and I have been living in the wine producing region of the Napa and Sonoma county’s for over 30 years. I have spent the last 8 years working as a wine tour guide for two of the top rated touring company’s in Napa and Sonoma. My training and knowledge of the winery’s and history of the wine producing regions, I believe, will enhance your visit to our beautiful country. I will be happy to advise you on your choices of where to lodge, where to eat, and especially which winery’s to visit to help you get the most out of your visit. I am sorry but your tours must begin in Napa, Sonoma or Marin counties as I do not go to San Francisco for pick-ups. If you are more than 25 miles from the towns of Napa or Sonoma there may be a small travel charge. My hourly rate is $40 per hour for groups of 5 or fewer passengers and $45 per hour for groups with between 6 and 10 people. I will drive to your hotel or home and there we will begin and end your tour in your vehicle. I except cash or credit cards although I prefer cash as there is a 3% to 4% charge for credit cards.
As the valley’s become a more popular destination every year, I would advise you to begin your scheduling as early as possible. Many of the best places to visit now require appointments and are often booked weeks in advance.
